Chairman of Handicraft Development Board Mr. Chandan Kashyap and Collector Shri Rajat Bansal visited the Shiva temple located in village Chapka of Bastar development block, famous as a pilgrim town of the district on Thursday, 21 January. During this, he also worshiped Lord Shiva and visited the entire temple complex. Collector Shri Rajat Bansal gave the gift of construction of boundary wall, beautification of water reservoirs, construction of Dharamshala building and reception gate, construction of community toilets and CC road etc. on the demand of temple committee and villagers. Apart from this, he also instructed the officers to ensure speedy disposal of drinking water and power problems in Tirthapara Chapka. Shri Bansal also instructed the sub-divisional officer of Rural Services Engineering Department to make a plan to develop the fair site by 15 February.
On this occasion, MLA Shri Chandan Kashyap gave information about the importance of the pilgrim town Chapaka and said that it should be developed properly. Collector Shri Bansal said that work will be done to develop the pilgrim town Chapka in the old form and plan for its proper development. He also talked about developing a fair venue for organizing a grand fair like the old times in Chapaka. Mr. Bansal instructed the officers present on the spot to complete all these works within the stipulated time. During this, Deputy Collector Smt. Geeta Raist, Mr. Jogiram, Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Chapka, and officials of the temple committee and villagers were present.
