Raipur. Chhattisgarh Medical Service Corporation Limited (CGMSC) newly appointed chairman Deepak Mhaske took over today. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, who was present on this occasion, greeted him. In a ceremony held in the auditorium of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Smriti Medical College, Raipur, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said that Chhattisgarh Medical Service Corporation Limited (CGMSC) was established in the year 2010 during the tenure of the then Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh. The role of this institution has been extremely important in ensuring quality, transparency and timely availability of essential medicines and equipment in the health services of the state. Today, this corporation is playing a big role in strengthening the health system of the state, not only the supply agency.
The Chief Minister said that he was happy to know that Deepak Messe has been a teacher of chemistry in the past. This experience will now strengthen the scientific approach in the works of CGMSC under his leadership, which will give direct benefits to the people of the state. He said that Chhattisgarh is celebrating the silver birth anniversary of its establishment this year. When the state was formed in the year 2000, since then, health services in the state have been continuously improved. Institutions like AIIMS are functioning in the state and 13 medical colleges have also been established, which is a proof of the state government’s health sector commitment.
Chief Minister Sai said that health is the biggest capital of any citizen, and for this purpose, the Ayushman Bharat Yojana launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has provided free treatment to crores of poor families of the country. In Chhattisgarh too, millions of families are benefiting under this scheme.
He said that at present the Health Minister himself is energetic and active and now the responsibility of the corporation has got a hard working and qualified person like Deepak Mahaske, then CGMSC will definitely play a big role in providing quality health services to the citizens of the state. At the end of the address, the Chief Minister, while wishing Mahaske, expressed confidence that his term will make Chhattisgarh’s healthcare system more effective, transparent and public welfare.
Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said that this corporation was formed in the year 2010 with the objective of generic medicines, surgical materials, timely availability of medical equipment and strengthening of infrastructure health structure. Dr. Singh said that this corporation was given the responsibility of qualified, honest, visionary and capable hands like MHSS and will be successful in providing health facilities to the last person. Assembly Speaker Dr. Singh gave his best wishes on getting new responsibilities to MHSS. Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal addressed the program and shared information about CGMSC work, health department schemes, activities and achievements.
