CG News: Prateek Chauhan. Raipur. A case of cheating has come to light in the name of buying a car in HDN Maruti Suzuki showroom located in Tatibandh, Raipur, resident of village Kandul in Balod district of Chhattisgarh. The showroom salesman Abdul Safdar Siddhaki is accused of taking Rs 5 lakh cash from Liladhar, but deposited only Rs 1,86,000 in the showroom and the remaining Rs 3,04,000 escaped. In this case, the police has registered an offense under Section 318 (4) BNS and started investigation.

Liladhar Prasad Sahu said that on 1 February 2025, he went to buy Alto K-10 VXI (silver color) car under Auto Expo offer at HDN Maruti Motors in Tatibandh. During this time, Salesman Abdul Safdar Siddhaki, working in the showroom, took Rs 5 lakh cash for car booking from him. Abdul gave a receipt by depositing Rs 1,86,000 in the showroom and acknowledged the remaining Rs 3,04,000 with signature by writing the amount of Rs 3,04,000 behind the receipt. He assured that on 7 February, a confirmed receipt will be given at the time of car delivery.

However, when Liladhar reached the showroom on 7 February, Abdul was not found there. Other employees of the showroom said that Abdul has left work from 6 February. Liladhar contacted the showroom general manager Jai Tiwari, who confirmed only Rs 1,86,000 in the name of Liladhar. Abdul did not deposit the remaining Rs 3,04,000. Liladhar tried to contact Abdul on mobile, but found his number closed. The showroom revealed that Abdul is a resident of Bilaspur.

Liladhar complained about this fraud to Raipur police. On the basis of the complaint, the police have registered a case against Abdul Safdar Siddhaki under Section 318 (4) BNS.
