Camps will be set up for health check-up of animals in Gauthans

Camps will be organized for health checkup of animals in all the active Gothans of Raipur district. In these camps, animals will be given medicines if they are sick as per requirement. Along with this, vaccination will also be done. Fish farming by women groups will also be started soon in identified Gothans in the district through bioblock method. For this, women’s groups will also get financial assistance from the Mineral Trust Fund. Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Bhure reviewed the government schemes and programs in the collectorate hall this morning in the meeting of officials of agriculture and its allied departments, animal husbandry, horticulture, fisheries and co-operative bank. He gave instructions to the officers to benefit maximum farmers from the schemes related to agriculture. The Collector gave instructions to make available seeds, fertilizers and medicines in sufficient quantity to the farmers during Rabi season. CEO of District Panchayat in the meeting. Papaya will be cultivated in the district under One District One Product- Hybrid papaya will be cultivated in about three hundred hectares of area in Raipur district under one district one product programme. For this, Collector Dr. Bhure gave instructions to identify suitable cluster and group of farmers to the officers of Horticulture Department in the meeting today. Hybrid plants will be given to the farmers for papaya cultivation. Farmers will also be given official help for arrangements for necessary preparations, fertilizers, medicines, irrigation etc. for farming. The Collector has already given instructions to the officials to estimate the average production of papaya and start preparations for a wide market and arrangement for selling it. Collector Dr. Bhure also asked to motivate the farmers to increase the area under horticulture crops in the district. In the meeting, the Collector directed the officers of the Livestock Development Department to make special efforts for milk production along with installation of community fences in Gothans. While simplifying the process of giving agricultural loans for fisheries and animal husbandry, the Collector gave instructions to the officers of the Cooperative Bank to make loans available to more and more farmers. Dr. Bhure also gave instructions to speed up cage culture activities to promote fish farming, as well as reserve 5 percent area in large reservoirs and ponds for cage establishment.
