Under the annual action plan 2022-23 of Chhattisgarh State Compensatory Afforestation, Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA), more than 29 lakh structures related to ground water enrichment in 01 thousand 503 small and big drains located in Vananchal of the state under ‘Narva Development’ program will be constructed. An amount of Rs.300 crore 52 lakh has been approved for its construction. With this, 6.26 lakh hectares of land will get the benefit of treatment. It is worth mentioning that under the special initiative of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel and under the guidance of Minister of Forest and Climate Change, Shri Mohammad Akbar, a large number of water bodies, rivers and ponds have been revived for conservation and promotion of ground water in the forest areas of the state. The task has been taken. Forest Minister Shri Akbar informed that under this, structures related to ground water harvesting will be constructed in the drains of 32 forest divisions of 24 districts including 02 National Parks, 03 Tiger Reserves and 01 Elephant Reserve under the state. These water storage structures to be built under the head of Chhattisgarh State Compensatory Afforestation, Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA) will ensure the availability of drinking water for the people living in the forest and wild animals. Also, due to water logging in the drain, moisture will remain in the surrounding land. With this, along with the convenience of farming, the source of income and greenery will also increase. In this regard, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief of Forest Force Shri Rakesh Chaturvedi informed that under the annual action plan of CAMPA 2022-23 under Narva Development Program, 97 thousand 333 with an amount of 10 crores in 50 drains of Guru Ghasidas National Park, Indravati Tiger Under the reserve, 01 lakh 24 thousand structures will be constructed in 64 drains with an amount of 13 crore and 11 thousand 621 structures in 6 drains of Kanger Valley National Park with an amount of 1.20 crore. Similarly, in 57 drains of Elephant Reserve Tomar Pingla, 01 lakh 11 thousand with an amount of Rs. will be constructed. 16 thousand 464 in 8 drains of Udanti Sitanadi Tiger Reserve, Rs 03 crore to 29 thousand in 15 drains of Barnawapara Sanctuary and 24 thousand 212 in 12 drains of Kawardha-Bhoramdev Sanctuary with an amount of Rs 2.50 crore. structures will be built. Similarly, forest divisions will be constructed in 34 of Khairagarh, 07 of Balod, 24 of Rajnandgaon, 48 of Kawardha and 40 drains of Bilaspur. Apart from this, structures will be constructed in 86 drains of Marwahi, 27 drains of Korba, 30 drains of Katghora, 18 drains of Raigad, 22 drains of Dharamjaygarh, 14 of Janjgir-Champa and 22 drains of Mungeli. Structures will be constructed in 67 drains of Gariaband, 06 drains of Balodabazar, 44 drains of Dhamtari, 40 drains of Mahasamund. Apart from this, 49 drains of Kanker, 29 drains of East Bhanupratappur, 37 drains of West Bhanupratappur, 35 drains of Keshkal, 59 drains of South Kondagaon, 43 drains of Narayanpur, 32 drains of Sukma, 56 drains of Bastar, 37 drains of Bijapur, Dantewada Structures will be constructed in 25 drains.
