In a bid to counter the Congress’s tirade against Center over paddy issue, the state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party has planned a massive Jail Bharo Movement on November 13.
Earlier, on November 10 it will stage a demonstration at Mandal level where the party will burn the Congress’s election manifesto, which allegedly the party-led government was not following after coming to the power.
A decision in this regard was taken at a meeting at party’s state executive body held here at state headquarters, Kushabhau Thakre Parisar, on Thursday.
State’s former chief minister and party’s National vice president Raman Singh while talking to reporters on Thursday informed that they are going to launch a statewide demonstration against the Bhupesh Baghel government from November 10.
“Under the first phase on November 10 at Mandal level across the state we will stage Dharna to apprise the state populace about the political gimmick of the Congress through which it is trying to divert the attention from two years’ pending bonus to the farmers which was promised in their manifesto and the delay in procurement of paddy this year.”
The second and final phase will be of Jail Bharo movement to be staged on November 13 at state level, he added
