Raipur. A cabinet meeting was held today under the chairmanship of CM Vishnudev Sai, in which the Mahtari Vandan scheme was approved. A decision was taken to increase the tendupatta collection rate to Rs 5500. Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao said, the process of implementing Modi’s guarantee is going on. The tendu leaf collectors of the state will now be given a collection rate of Rs 5500.
Sao said, Tendupatta Collector Social Security Scheme will be started. Financial grant of 75 percent amount will be given by the government and 25 percent amount will be given by the Minor Forest Produce Association. Mahtari Vandan Yojana has been approved. It has been decided to start this scheme with the aim of improving discrimination against women in the society and for economic independence. Whereas married women above 21 years of age will be given Rs 12,000 each annually. Widows and abandoned women will also be given the benefits of the scheme.
