Bhoomipujan’ for construction of boys hostel performed in Durg

Bhoomipujan’ for construction of Boys Hostel in Government Polytechnic College, Durg has been performed. Durg (urban) MLA Arun Vora and Mayor Dheeraj Bakliwal performed the rituals for the 50-seater hostel which will be constructed with an estimated cost of Rs 190.19 lakh. The rituals for bhoomipujan ceremony of the hostel, warden room and canteen was performed in presence of professors and officers from Public Works Department. Speaking on the occasion, the MLA stated that consistent efforts are being made to provide better facilities to the students, adding that several students are from distant areas who study in the college. He said housing and canteen facilities within the college campus will help in saving time of the students. He also informed that demand have been also made for increasing the number of seats and opening diploma course of GST operation in the college so that students can take benefits of professional course. It is worth mentioning that previously, the MLA had also performed bhoomipujan for construction of 3 rooms with a cost of Rs 73 lakh, which is currently in progress. Leader of Opposition Rajesh Sharma, alderman Anshul Pandey, Dev Sinha, engineers Ashok Shrivas, Narmada Ramteke, SDO Chandrashekhar Ogre were present.
