Deputy Chairman of the State Planning Commission Shri Ajay Singh said that better implementation of schemes should be done to achieve the goal of sustainable development. He said that the target can be achieved through judicious use of resources while monitoring the schemes, continuous improvement and identifying the deficiencies. Mr. Singh was addressing a one-day divisional level training session regarding SDG Dash Board based on District Indicator Framework organized by the Planning Commission at Surguja district headquarters today.Vice Chairman of the State Planning Commission Mr. Ajay Singh said in the training session that SDG goal achievement is a strenuous marathon, where success can only be achieved through evidence-based planning, monitoring, continuous improvement and judicious use of resources while identifying gaps. He said that the officers can achieve the target by better implementation and progress of the schemes run in their respective departments. He informed that the District Indicator Framework prepared by the State Planning Commission in coordination with all the concerned departments was released by Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel in August 2022. It was expected that the officers of the departmental and district administration would do effective monitoring and follow-up on the basis of this. DIF A total of 82 indicators have been included in this. District level S.D.G. under the chairmanship of the District Collector. “Implementation and Monitoring Committee” has also been constituted by the Government of Chhattisgarh. The dashboard will be used by departmental officers and district administration officers as an effective “tool” for monitoring the schemes.Divisional Commissioner Dr.S. Alang said that the “District Indicator Framework” prepared by the State Planning Commission is a very useful framework, which is useful for the global SDGs. Will be helpful in effectively implementing the goals in the districts.
