Collector Shri Nileshkumar Kshirsagar while reviewing the Kovid vaccine program in the district has said that government departments should be vaccinated as per targeted vaccination. He said that it is mandatory to provide vaccine to the officers and employees associated with the front worker, police, revenue, panchayati raj institutions. They should put a vaccine and give a message to the common people. The collector said that the department head should coordinate with his subordinate staff in this regard and ensure that the vaccine is installed. At the district level Taskforce meeting, the above instructions were given by the collector. Zilla Panchayat CEO Mr. Chandrakant Verma, WHO representative Dr. Nitin Patil, Health Department, Police, CRPF, Women and Child Development, Education Department officials were present in the meeting.
Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. N.R. Navaratna informed that Kovid vaccination program has been started in the district from January 16. The targeted 6 thousand 596 people of various departments are to be vaccinated. Out of which 4 thousand 403 people have been vaccinated. Which is 67 percent of vaccinations. He informed that vaccination is being done by sensing at 82 places. Under the total frontline health worker, 943 health workers, 1371 of Mitanin and 1080 of Anganwadi workers have been vaccinated. The Collector has instructed the concerned department to ensure vaccination by taking necessary initiatives to vaccinate the remaining Anganwadi workers and Mitanins. On this occasion, the collector said that on one hand there is a shortage of vaccines in many countries, while there is a sufficient amount of vaccine in the state. According to the intention of the government, all the frontline workers have been given the facility to apply the vaccine free of cost. He said that there is no need to panic, but instead make vaccination for others a precedent.
