Anganwadi worker Amita bravely climbed the snowy UT Kangri peak

With determination, strong intentions and courage, dreams come true even in adversity. With this spirit, Anganwadi worker Ms. Amita Shriwas, a mountaineer from Janjgir-Champa, Chhattisgarh, gave her dreams flight and is constantly scaling high mountain peaks. After conquering Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak of the continent of Africa, he climbed the 6 thousand 70 meters high snowy UT Kangri peak of the Ladakh region of the ancient Himalayas. After completing a difficult climb full of adventure and risk in minus 31 degree temperature, Chhattisgarh’s daughter dreams of conquering Everest. For the achievement of Ms. Amita, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel and Minister of Women and Child Development Mrs. Anila Bhendia have congratulated and congratulated her. This was Ms. Amita’s fourth major ascent to the top of the mountain. After taking training in rock climbing from Vivekananda Mountaineering Institute Mount Abu in the year 2018, he first conquered the big peaks of North Sikkim and West Sikkim in 2019. After this, on the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8, 2021 last year, she took the mission of women’s empowerment and made a record by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak of the continent of Africa. After reaching the 5895 meter high peak of Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, he also gave the message of ‘Garhbo Nava Chhattisgarh’. Ms. Amita explained that the success at UT Kangri is a step in the initial preparation for her Everest mission. He had 11 members from the states of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, including Delhi in this mission. Out of this, 2 people have already climbed Everest. In which he got a chance to lead for the first time. He started his ascent on 14 January at 11 pm and reached the summit of UT Kangri on 19 January. He told that his base camp situated at an altitude of 4 thousand 700 meters had a temperature of minus 20 degrees Celsius. At the time of the last ascent it was reduced to minus 31.4 degrees. Ms. Amita was thrilled and told that during her ascent to the summit, a sudden avalanche (fall of a large piece of ice) occurred 50 steps earlier. For the first time in his life, he had seen the scene of a snowflake falling apart. He had read and heard about Avalaunch before, but it is difficult to describe the experience of seeing it for the first time. After the avalanche, it was difficult to decide on the further climb, but with strong intentions, his life was won. Ms. Amita told that Amita’s dream of mountaineering, born in a lower middle family, was not easy. He overcame every obstacle that came in the climb with life. Ms. Amita’s courage got full support of Chhattisgarh government along with family. Amita has proved her mettle in other sports at the national level as well. Seeing her achievements, Ms. Srivas was given Rs.80 thousand by the district administration for mountaineering in UT Kangri. Earlier, to encourage their mountaineering, Rs 2 lakh 70 thousand was provided for mountaineering before the CSR item.
