Agriculture and Water Resources Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey performed bhoomi pujan of several development works worth more than Rs.39 crore in different villages of Saja block of Bemetara district today. Agriculture Minister Shri Choubey performed Bhoomipujan of Anicut-cum Rapta construction work on Dotu Nala at a cost of Rs.2 crore 66 lakh in village Kechwai. Its construction will increase the ground water level of the village and common citizens will get the benefit of drainage facility. Agriculture Minister Shri Choubey laid the foundation stone for the concretization work of 13 streets in village Semaria. Concreteization work will be done with Rs.62 lakh 42 thousand approved by Chhattisgarh Krishi Mandi Board. Similarly, he performed Bhoomipujan of Dotu diversion and re-modeling and lining work of LBC, RBC minor canals in Sonchiriya, dependent village of Hatranka Gram Panchayat at a cost of Rs.36 crore 12 lakh. Agriculture Minister Mr. Choubey said on the occasion that The state government is continuously working for the upliftment of all sections of the society. Paddy is purchased on support price, 7 thousand are given annually under the Rajiv Gandhi Rural Landless Mazdoor Nyay Yojana. Under which the amount of the first installment has been transferred to the bank account of the beneficiaries. The Agriculture Minister said that Akshaya Tritiya i.e. Akti Tihar will be celebrated as Mati Pujan Diwas. Through this program an oath will be taken to protect Mother Earth. On this occasion, Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Raudra Shri Ashok Kaushal, Semaria Sarpanch Shri Shiva Dhruv, Sarpanch of Hatranka Smt. Saraswati Sahu, local public representatives along with Executive Engineer Water Resources Department, S.D.O.
