A cache of fake cheese seized again in the capital

3750Kg Spurious Paneer Seized: Satya Rajput, Raipur. Fake cheese might be being made in many houses in the capital Raipur. We are saying this because a cache of fake cheese has been found for the second consecutive day. 6250 kg fake cheese has been caught in Raipur in two days. Before the New Year, swift action by the Food Safety Department continues. The team has found a large quantity of fake cheese in a factory today.

Today the Food Safety Department raided SJ Milk Products Paneer Factory located in Metal Park Urla, Raipur. During the investigation here, 3,750 kg of cheese was seized. The factory was being operated in unclean condition and without certificate. The team is taking samples from the spot. Further action will be taken based on its investigation.

Food Safety Officer Siddharth Pandey said that the Food Department has raided the SJ Milk Products Paneer Factory. 3,650 kg of adulterated cheese has been seized. About 2750 kg of packing cheese along with 1000 kg of loose cheese has been seized, the total value of which is said to be Rs 9,18,750. Apart from this, 143 sacks of solid powder have been seized, which weighs 3,575 kg and is worth more than Rs 12 lakh. Paneer is being made only from solid milk powder. Action is underway on the basis of not having nutritional value certificate and medical certificate, non-hygienic conditions, stock maintenance register along with pest controller. At present the sample is being taken, the sample will be tested. Further action will be taken on the basis of the investigation report.

Let us tell you that in Kashi Agro Foods of Birgaon, fake cheese was being made and packed without milk by adding chemicals and other chemicals like Dalda and SMP. Here the Food Department had found 2500 kg of fake cheese. After which the factory was sealed.
