54 players from across the state showed their strength to make a place in the junior fencing team

The 28th Junior National Fencing Competition is to be held from March 15 to 17 in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand. A state team is being formed to participate in the competition. A selection competition was organized to prepare the team, in which 30 girls and 24 boys players from different districts of Chhattisgarh participated.

The selection competition was held on Saturday at Bhilai Ispat Club from Chhattisgarh Pradesh Fencing Association. The trial was conducted under the guidance of NIS coaches Anurag Chaudhary, Praveen Kumar, Anoop Chaudhary, Mohnish Verma and Johnson Solomon.

In the selection event foil, AP, and Saber event, a league match was made between all the players. On this occasion, Akhilesh Dubey, Secretary, Raipur District Fencing Association, Santosh Sahu, Secretary, Bilaspur District, President Shiv Vastrakar, Ram Pratap Gupta, Treasurer of Chhattisgarh State Fencing, Vice President Nikhil Jambhulkar were present.
