Paddy procurement in Rajnandgaon district is growing rapidly. Out of 1.95 lakhs registered, 1.42 lakh farmers have sold paddy so far. That is, 73 percent of the farmers’ paddy has been purchased by the target. Only 53 thousand farmers are yet to buy paddy. The administration has 14 days left for this. The weekly deadline meeting reviewed the preparation of corona vaccination, along with the Godan Nyaya Yojana, besides paddy procurement. Collector Topeshwar Verma said that the work of paddy procurement is going on at a rapid pace. Paddy of small farmers has been bought more so far. He said that such farmers who are eligible to sell paddy should not be deprived of selling paddy due to any technical reason, take special care of this. Paddy will also be purchased from farmers to whom forest rights papers have been issued. Issue a certificate of acreage improvement for acreage improvement applications. District Marketing Officer Saurabh Bhardwaj said that 1.42 lakh farmers have sold paddy so far.
During the review of the Godhan Nyaya Yojana, he said that the Godhan Nyaya Yojana is an ambitious scheme of governance and is the first such special scheme in the country. Vermi compost should be manufactured in all Gothanas. So far, 2566 quintal vermi compost has been produced. Out of this, 1225 quintal vermi compost has been sold and 1341 quintal is remaining. Vermi compost should be properly maintained in Gothan. Online entry of cow dung should also be done systematically.
