2 lakh 62 thousand 216 quintal seeds distributed to farmers for Kharif crops.

In the current Kharif season, certified seeds are being provided to the farmers of the state by cooperative societies, government farms and registered seed sellers. So far, 2 lakh 62 thousand 216 quintal seeds of various Kharif crops have been distributed to the farmers, which is 26 percent of the seed distribution target. The target is to distribute 10 lakh 4 thousand 950 quintal seeds in the current Kharif season in the state. 6 lakh 68 thousand 202 quintal seeds are available in the state, against which so far 5 lakh 68 thousand 549 quintal seeds have been stored, in which farmers have been given 5 lakh 58 thousand quintal paddy seed, 790 quintal maize, 2249 quintal tur, 2376 quintal soybean and 5089 quintal seeds of other Kharif crops are included. So far, 2 lakh 58 thousand 880 quintals of paddy, 107 quintals of maize, 447 quintals of Arhar, 1663 quintals of soybean and 1119 quintals of seeds of other Kharif crops have been distributed to the farmers.
