108 Pahari Korwas-Birhor youths got appointment certificates, will work in schools, honorarium increased on the request of Minister Lakhan Lal Dewangan

Korba. 108 unemployed youths of the special backward tribal community Pahari Korwa and Birhor tribes residing in the district were given certificates of appointment as peon and guest teacher as per their qualifications in the schools near their residence on the basis of honorarium from the District Mineral Trust fund by Commerce, Industry and Labor Minister Lakhan Lal Dewangan, MLA Katghora Premchand Patel, District Panchayat President Shivkala Kanwar, Mayor Rajkishore Prasad and Collector Ajit Vasant.

On this occasion, Chief Guest Minister Devangan said that today is a historic day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had made provision for DMF for the development of mining affected areas, today its benefits are visible on the ground. The native Pahari Korwas and Birhors of the district are going to get employment from DMF, this is a big achievement. If even one member of any family gets a job, then the family moves forward on the path of prosperity, getting proper employment will lead to economic and social development of Pahari Korwa and Birhor tribal society and they will move forward on the path of development. On the basis of honorarium from DMF, 79 youths of special backward tribal families were provided employment as peons and 29 youths as guest teachers.

Chief guest Devangan further said that the Prime Minister of the country is constantly trying to bring the special backward tribal families forward on the path of development. Through the Prime Minister Janman Yojana, he has resolved the problems of the PVTG inhabited areas by fulfilling their basic needs. The Chief Minister of the state Vishnu Dev Sai is also working by making plans to take Chhattisgarh forward on the path of development. Talking about the benefits being given to farmers and common people through Kisan Samman Nidhi, increase in support price, Ayushman Yojana, he said that along with development in the field of education and health, the economic development of the poor women of the state is taking place through Chhattisgarh Mahtari Vandan Yojana.

He said that along with the development of the area from the District Mineral Trust fund, employment opportunities are also being created. Coaching arrangements have also been made for the talented students of the district to prepare for exams like NEET and JEE. He said that some people also go out of the state in search of employment. In such a situation, employment is being provided to the members of backward tribal families near their residential area, which is commendable. The youth who have got employment should not leave this job unnecessarily and should work diligently until a better opportunity comes.

Honorarium increased on the request of Minister Dewangan –

Along with providing appointment certificates to the educated members of the special backward tribal families of the district, the chief guest Lakhan Lal Devangan, Commerce, Industry and Labor Minister requested for an increase of two thousand rupees in the honorarium of the youth working as peon and guest teacher in schools. The collector gladly accepted this and said that the honorarium will be increased. Now, instead of 6 thousand honorarium, 8 thousand rupees will be given, instead of 8 thousand honorarium, 10 thousand rupees will be given and instead of 10 thousand honorarium, 12 thousand rupees will be given.

In the program, MLA Katghora Premchand Patel said that Korba district is identified with Korba tribal families. As a public representative, he always keeps in mind how to uplift the natives. It is a matter of happiness that after sending the students of the district out for study a day before to prepare for competitive examinations, today the special backward tribal families of the district are getting employment around their own village. He said that through employment, we can overcome our backwardness and move forward on the path of development and can also change our destiny.

Referring to the efforts made by the Prime Minister to connect PVTGs to the path of development through the PM Janman Yojana, he said that backward tribal families have got a chance to come forward on the initiative of the Chhattisgarh government and the district administration. He wished that Korba, identified as an aspirational district, should be identified as a normal district through development.

In the program, Mayor Rajkishore Prasad said that getting employment opportunity from DMF, getting free coaching facility to talented students of the district in the capital from DMF is a big achievement. Special backward tribe families are not financially prosperous, in such a situation, their standard of living will change on getting employment. Family and social environment will also change. Therefore, no youth who gets employment should leave his job without any reason. District Panchayat President Shivkala Kanwar said that getting employment opportunity for the members of special backward tribe families living in the settlements of forest areas is a new chapter in their life.

Collector Ajit Vasant said that on the directions of the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Government, special backward tribal families of the district are being identified through the District Mineral Trust and employment opportunities are being provided as per their qualifications. Earlier, some youths were employed as peons in the Health Department. In this series, today 108 youths are being appointed on the post of guest teacher and peon in schools under the Education Department on honorarium basis. The Collector said that this employment opportunity is not the last. Youth of special backward tribal category can continue their studies while doing this work and can get even better employment opportunities by acquiring higher education.

He said that after getting employment opportunities, do not leave this work till you get a better job. The district administration has provided employment opportunities to make you financially strong and take you forward on the path of development. You will be able to make your future even better with this appointment. The collector said that special monitoring will be done to ensure that the honorarium amount received by the youth of special backward tribal families after getting employment is not harmed. He talked about providing the benefits of electricity, water, road, housing, Ayushman card etc. in the settlements of PVTG through the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana.

In the program, as a representative of the special backward tribe, Pahari Korwa girl Rekha Korwa praised the district administration’s initiative to provide employment to educated unemployed youth through DMF and said that in this competitive environment, it was difficult for youth from families like us to participate. By getting employment and becoming financially strong, we will also be able to learn something and move forward. She also thanked Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, Minister Lakhan Lal Devangan.
