Health and Family Welfare Minister Shri T.S. Under the chairmanship of Singhdev, a meeting of the Board of Directors of Chandulal Chandrakar Memorial Hospital and Medical College was organized at his residence office here today. It may be mentioned that this was the first meeting after the acquisition of Chandulal Chandrakar Hospital and College by the state government. In the meeting, information was taken regarding the present arrangement of Shri Singhdeo Hospital and College and instructed to expedite the process of operation. In the meeting, it was agreed to start the process of taking permission for the continuation of 150 students studying in the medical college and starting PG courses in all the subjects. In the meeting, instructions were given to conduct all necessary procedures for the medical college in line with other medical colleges of the government. Minister Shri Singhdev also inquired about the infrastructure development and construction of the hospital and college. Initially, he instructed to make elaborate arrangements in the hospital including cleaning and repair work, removal of medical equipment as per the requirement. In the meeting, discussions were held regarding the recruitment of doctors, teachers and other staff in the hospital and medical college. Officials said that the state government has given approval for the recruitment of 616 and 425 posts for hospital and college, in this way a total of 1041 posts. Minister Shri Singhdeo said that according to the budget arrangement, temporary arrangements should be made for essential services till regular appointments are made, so that there is no disturbance in the direction of running the hospital and college. Discussion was also held regarding starting OPD service in the hospital. Minister Shri Singhdev said that the government’s job is to provide better medical facilities to the people, after the start of OPD service, free services should be provided as per the provisions of other government hospitals.
