September 2021 / For the efficient implementation of Shaheed Mahendra Karma Tendupatta Collector Social Security Scheme, reimbursement and grant amount of Rs 12 crore 7 lakh 78 thousand 500 has been released by the Government of Chhattisgarh. According to the intention of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, many important decisions have been taken by the state government in Chhattisgarh in the interest of forest dwellers and minor forest produce collectors. These include Shaheed Mahendra Karma Tendupatta Collector Social Security Scheme. This scheme is operated with the objective of providing social security to the tendu patta collecting families in the state from 5th August 2020. Under the guidance of Forest and Climate Change Minister Shri Mohammad Akbar, the Shaheed Mahendra Karma Tendupatta Social Security Scheme is being implemented efficiently. It is worth mentioning that with the objective of providing social security to the tendu patta collecting families in the state, this scheme is operational from last 5 August 2020. Under this scheme, the head of the registered collector family engaged in tendu leaf collection, whose age is between 18 to 50 years on the date of death, on his normal death, a grant-in-aid of Rs. In case of accidental death, an additional amount of Rs.2 lakh is provided. A grant-in-aid amounting to two lakh rupees in case of complete disability and one lakh rupees in case of partial disablement due to accident is provided to the accidental eligible tendu patta collector. Similarly, the head of a registered collector’s family engaged in tendu patta collection, whose age is between 51 and 59 years on the date of his death, will be paid Rs. Grant-in-aid is provided. In case of complete disablement in accident, 75 thousand rupees and in case of partial disablement grants-in-aid amounting to 37 thousand 500 rupees are provided to the accidental eligible tendu leaves collectors.
