Young Table Tennis Star Cinderella Das Secures Spot in India’s 10‑Member Asian Games Squad

Cinderella Das, the 17‑year‑old prodigy from Kolkata, has been named in India’s ten‑player men’s table‑tennis squad for the 2026 Asian Games.

Her selection follows a stellar performance at the Asian Youth Championships in Thailand, where she earned a silver medal in the girls’ doubles and a bronze in the girls’ singles. Das also swept the national age‑group titles in Under‑15, Under‑17 and Under‑19 singles during the 2023 season.

In addition to her Asian Games berth, Das has been admitted to the Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS) development programme, alongside fellow rising star Piyush Jain and senior player Ankur Bhattacharjee. The TOPS initiative is designed to build a robust bench for the 2030 Commonwealth Games and the 2036 Olympic Games.

The men’s Asian Games squad now includes Satyian Gyansekaran, Manush Shah, Manav Thakkar, Harmit Desai, Piyush Jain and Cinderella Das, reflecting a blend of experience and youthful vigor aimed at delivering strong performances on the continental stage.
