Wyatt-Hughs outshines Brice and Charni to win ICC accolade

London, July 20 – Danny Wyatt‑Hughs secured the ICC Women’s Player of the Month award for June 2026, edging out Scotland skipper Katherine Brice and India left‑arm spinner Charni in a close contest.

The English opener’s World Cup record featured 302 runs in seven matches, a 60.40 batting average, and a record‑breaking 105* off 62 deliveries versus Sri Lanka. The total eclipsed Beth Mooney’s 2020 benchmark of 259 runs and made Wyatt‑Hughs the first woman to log more than 300 runs in a single T20 World Cup.

Her June performances continued the trend: in six matches she scored 287 runs at 71.75 average with a strike‑rate of 151.85. She produced a decisive 65 against the West Indies and a swift 89‑run blitz that removed New Zealand from the tournament.
