FIFA announced a tiered prize‑money structure for the 2026 World Cup, increasing the total pool by $8 million compared with the previous edition. The champion Spain earned $50 million, while the runner‑up Argentina received $33 million. England, finishing third, was awarded $29 million, and fourth‑placed France got $27 million.
All eight quarter‑finalists were paid $19 million each, and the 16 teams exiting at the round of 16 took home $15 million. The enhanced payouts aim to reward performance and help federations invest in grassroots development, infrastructure, and player welfare across the globe.
