World Athletics Gold Label Delhi Half Marathon to feature zinc finisher medal

The World Athletics Gold Label Delhi Half Marathon, entering its 21st year, will award participants a distinctive finisher medal made of high‑quality zinc from the historic Javar Mines in Udaipur. The medal was introduced by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and represents the city’s focus on health, women’s participation and charitable impact. Priya Agrawal Hebbar, chairperson of Hindustan Zinc Ltd, described the medal as a symbol of industrial heritage, endurance and the "Run for Zero Hunger" campaign, which directs funds to needy children and animals. The event, scheduled for October 18, saw its registration close in a record 100 hours, with ancillary races such as The Great Delhi Run and Champions with Disability also reaching capacity quickly.
