Women's Cricket Star Dipti Sharma Gears Up for Asia Cup by Playing The Hundred

Dipti Sharma, the seasoned all‑rounder of the Indian women’s cricket side, is currently featuring for Sunrisers Leads in England’s The Hundred competition. The stint, she explained, is designed to sharpen her craft before the Asian Cup commences on 28 August in Dubai.

In an interview, Sharma said the league allows her to work on three core facets – batting, bowling and fielding – under competitive pressure, which she believes will boost her confidence and, ultimately, benefit the Indian squad.

When she learned of her selection for the Leads, Sharma admitted a surge of joy, especially because the team’s orange palette matches her personal favourite colour. She described the home ground’s atmosphere, packed with supporters clad in orange, as a source of extra motivation.

She also commented on the fans’ role, noting that their enthusiasm when she performs at the venue adds to her drive.
