Women T20 World Cup Final: Australia Elects to Bowl First

London, 5 July – The final of the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup took place at the iconic Lord’s, pitting host nation England against a formidable Australian outfit. After winning the coin toss, Australia chose to bowl first, a decision reinforced by skipper Sophie Molineux. “The pitch is straightforward, the conditions are perfect for our bowlers, and we want to apply pressure early,” she said. “We’ve had a short break before this big match, and we’re ready to make an impact.”
