RARE CRICKET INCIDENT:

Ball goes through the stumps. Bails remain intact. This happened during the 3rd Test of SA in Pak in 1997-98. A Mushtaq Ahmed delivery goes straight THROUGH the stumps & everyone is baffled. A tiny 22 sec clip of this is on YT but here’s extended footage. pic.twitter.com/yTYc8poFgG

This incident happened during the match being played between South Africa and Pakistan in the year 1997-98. Meanwhile, a ball from Mushtaq Ahmed went past the African batsman, but luck was also with the batsman. The ball passed between the stumps, but the bails did not fall and the batsman was saved from being out.

Know what the rules say

If a batsman has to be ‘bowled out’ then the rule says that the bails should also fall as soon as the ball hits the stumps, if the bails do not fall on the ground then the batsman will remain not out. It has been seen many times on the cricket field that the bails do not fall even after the ball hits the stumps, due to which the batsman remains not out.
