VIDEO: Rohit Sharma wants to fulfill this dream after 3 years, answered the question of retirement, said- Don’t know life….

In IPL 2024, Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma is scoring runs with his bat. In the 6 matches played in the current season, Rohit has scored 261 runs for Mumbai Indians (MI). In the last match, he gave a befitting reply to his critics by playing an unbeaten inning of 105 runs against Chennai. This century has come at a time when there have been many talks about his age and retirement, but what does the Indian captain himself think about it? Rohit himself has given the answer to this.

Let us tell you that in the famous show host Gaurav Kapoor’s YouTube show ‘Breakfast with Champions’, Rohit Sharma has made clear his intentions of playing for the next few years because he still has to fulfill one of his dreams. Rohit Sharma said, “I have not really thought about retirement. But, I don’t know where life takes you. I’m playing well at the moment too – so I’m thinking I’ll continue it for a few more years and then, I don’t know. I really want to win the World Cup and the WTC final is in 2025, hopefully India will be successful in it.”

No retirement, focus on winning the World Cup

Rohit Sharma further said, “For me, the 50-over World Cup is my retirement World Cup. We have grown up watching that World Cup. More importantly, it was happening in front of our home audience in India. We played very well till that final. When we won the semi-finals, I thought, now we are just one step away. “We are doing everything right.”

It is noteworthy that India last won the ODI World Cup in 2011 but Rohit Sharma was not a part of that Team India. After this, Rohit performed strongly in the 2015 and 2019 World Cups but still the team did not progress beyond the semi-finals. Whereas in 2023, Rohit was the captain of the team and he himself batted brilliantly but in the finals the team had to face defeat from Australia. Now the next World Cup will be played in South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe in 2027. Will Rohit, who was 40 years old by that time, remain a part of Team India? Will he be able to fulfill his dream of winning the World Cup? Only time will tell.
