New Delhi, July 17 – Nikki Prasad, the captain who steered the Indian Women Under‑19 team to the T20 World Cup 2025 triumph, has turned her focus to the lessons learned on the England tour with India A.

Speaking to IANS, Prasad recounted her first‑ever inclusion in an India A side and her inaugural trip to England.

"The team environment was excellent, and playing in foreign conditions felt invigorating. It pushed me to express myself differently on the field," she said.

During the series, Prasad faced towering English pacers whose seam movement and bounce required adjustments in both technique and mindset.

She highlighted her improved back‑foot play, noting a greater comfort with pull, cut, and short‑ball handling.

Coaches who had previously toured England offered strategic advice on ball trajectory, urging her to avoid over‑hitting and to anticipate the length of deliveries.

A memorable moment for Prasad was a high‑pressure WPL clash against Gujarat Giants, where she attempted an aggressive chase for Delhi Capitals. Although the side missed out on victory, she described it as a valuable learning curve.
