UCI Congress Announces Pune as 2032 Road Worlds Host

At the UCI Congress held in Montreal, the governing body officially announced Pune, India, as the host city for the 2032 Road World Championships. The decision concluded a competitive bidding phase that saw Pune and the Dutch city of Groningen‑Drachten as the final contenders.

The Maharashtra government, together with the Cycling Federation of India, submitted a detailed proposal featuring race routes through Balewadi Stadium, Pune University and surrounding road networks. A three‑member UCI technical team inspected the sites during their September field visit.

District Collector Jitendra Dudi and CFI Secretary‑General Maninder Pal Singh briefed the UCI Management Committee on a long‑term vision that includes infrastructure development, elite athlete training and community participation.
