Trau FC's 2-1 win over Indian Navy caps Durand Cup group stage
On August 9, the final Group D match of the Durand Cup saw Trau FC defeat Indian Navy FT 2-1 at the Khuman Lampak Main Stadium. The opening goal arrived in the 16th minute when Afridi Buayamayum delivered a precise curl from the right, sending the ball into the top corner. Trau reclaimed the lead in the 60th minute as Buayamayum finished a swift counter‑attack, slotting the ball home from the right flank. Indian Navy dominated the ball, registering 26 attempts, 15 of which tested the target, but goalkeeper Tajuddin made several crucial interventions, including a spectacular save of a long‑range effort that rattled the cross‑bar at the 65th minute.
