Tilak Verma’s Explosive Record Boosts India’s Asian Games Campaign

Tilak Verma entered the 2023 Asian Games semi‑final with a reputation for explosive batting. In the previous semi‑final, he smashed 55 runs from just 26 deliveries, striking two fours and six sixes on a pitch that was noted for being a little slower than usual. The conditions at Korogi Sports Park suit his power‑hitting style, allowing him to dominate bowlers and accelerate the scoring rate. If he repeats that performance against Afghanistan, his quick‑fire innings could put India well beyond the target and give the team a comfortable platform to chase or defend.
