At the Ordos stadium on July 10, Indian athletes lifted the national medal count with three bronze medals. Shakil’s third‑place finish in the men’s 800 m recorded a time of 1:48.78, while teammate Vinod Kumar B ran 1:49.10 for a fourth‑place finish. Bhumeshwari Devi Huidrom captured bronze in the women’s 800 m in 2:10.20, ahead of Vaishnavi Rajendra Rawal who finished fifth in 2:10.83. The top two spots were taken by Janbibi Hukmov of Uzbekistan (gold, 2:08.41) and Kurumi Sugure of Japan (silver). In the 200 m dash, Abhay Singh took bronze with a 20.96‑second run, after China’s Yuven Huang (20.43) and Japan’s Kota Uematsu (20.58). Other Indian competitors delivered solid performances: Sharuq Khan was fourth in the 3000‑m steeplechase (9:14.14) and Abhijit Sanjay Bhosale came fourth in the decathlon with 6,610 points. The medals complemented the mixed 4×400 m relay gold and earlier podium finishes secured on day one.
