Karolina Muchowa secured her place in the Wimbledon quarterfinals for the third time after a grueling three‑set victory over compatriot Barbora Krejcikova, winning 7-5, 5-7, 6-3 on July 5 in London.

The first set hinged on a late break at 5‑5, allowing Muchowa to clinch it 7‑5. Krejcikova rebounded in the second, breaking early and holding on to take the set 7‑5, setting up a decisive third.

Muchowa started the final set strongly, racing to a 4‑1 advantage and maintaining pressure to close out the match 6‑3. She delivered 50 winners with just 29 unforced errors, whereas Krejcikova managed 24 winners but committed 32 unforced errors.

The win ended a sequence of four straight first‑round defeats at Wimbledon for Muchowa and was her eighth consecutive win following her Bad Homburg Open championship. Her quarterfinal opponent will be selected from world No.1 Aryna Sabalenka or four‑time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka.
