Tawhid Hossain steps up as Bangladesh loses Litton Das before opener

With Litton Das sidelined, Bangladesh has turned to Tawhid Hossain to captain the side against Zimbabwe in the series opener.

Hossain, a steady middle‑order batsman, expressed confidence in the squad’s bowling options, noting three pacers and two spinners are available.

The match in Abu Dhabi will also serve as preparation for the 2027 World Cup and the upcoming Asia Cup.
