Tanvi Sharma Falls to Intanon as India’s Men Exit Arctic Open

In the women’s singles draw, Thailand’s Ratjanok Intanon eliminated India’s Tanvi Sharma with a 21‑18, 21‑7 win, advancing to the quarter‑finals. Sharma matched the top‑seeded Thai for most of the first game, even leveling at 17‑17, but Intanon’s experience helped her close out the set.

The second game was one‑sided; Intanon built a 9‑2 lead by winning seven consecutive points and comfortably sealed the match. Meanwhile, India’s men’s singles campaign ended as Tharun Manapelli was beaten by France’s second‑seeded Cristophe Popov, and no Indian male player remained in the Super 500 event.
