India’s Tanvi Sharma progressed to the second round of women’s singles by beating Denmark’s Amalie Schulz 21‑16, 21‑17 in just 31 minutes. In mixed doubles, the duo Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Crasto shocked Thailand’s Tonkid Saeheng and Tonrug Saeheng, winning 21‑8, 21‑9 to reach the pre‑quarterfinals.

The results added momentum to India’s campaign, though the mixed‑doubles team of Rohan Kapoor and Rutuja Shivani Gadde fell to China’s Wu Guan‑Jun and Li Chia‑Xin, losing 21‑16, 21‑18.
