South Delhi’s bowling struggles as Central Delhi chase down 221

New Delhi, August 10 – In a tightly contested DPL 2026 encounter, South Delhi Superstars posted 221 for six in their 20 overs. Early wickets fell with Anmol Sharma dismissed for six, but Sanat Sangwan steadied the innings with 38 runs, and captain Ayush Badoni contributed a brisk 44, hitting six fours and two sixes. Tejasvi Dahiya’s power‑hitting provided a final surge of 69, featuring eight sixes, while Karn Garg added an unbeaten 19 off nine balls.

When Central Delhi Kings began their reply, they lost early wickets; captain Yash Dhul managed only a single before being run out. Siddharth June’s 26 and Jonty Sidhu’s 24 offered modest support. The breakthrough came when Yugal Saini smashed 91 from 45 deliveries, dispatching nine fours and six sixes. Vamsh Bedi’s quick 21 added the finishing touches.

South Delhi’s bowlers struggled to contain the run rate. Anshuman Huda was the most successful with three wickets, but Mannie Greywal and Govindh Khurana each claimed two wickets for the Kings. The chase concluded with two balls to spare, as Central Delhi secured a four‑wicket win.

The match highlighted the importance of explosive batting in the DPL and showcased Saini’s ability to dominate a chase under pressure.
