Shoriful Islam misses Kent opportunity as BCB prioritises upcoming Tests

The Bangladesh Cricket Board has turned down Shoriful Islam's application for a No Objection Certificate to play for Kent in the English County Championship. According to BCB officials, the decision stems from the bowler's demanding international itinerary – five Tests, seven T20 Internationals and six ODIs are scheduled over the next quarter. Coupled with a recent hamstring strain, the board believes that adding four county matches would place undue pressure on his recovery. Consequently, the board recommended that Shoriful focus on training and rehabilitation rather than competitive county cricket. In a contrasting move, the board granted an NOC to fully fit pacer Khalid Ahmed for the same Kent side.
