Achanta Sharat Kamal’s Commonwealth Games record stands as a benchmark for Indian table tennis. After debuting at the 2002 Games, he secured his first international medal in the 2004 edition. Over the next two decades, Sharat amassed a total of 13 medals, highlighted by seven golds.

His most memorable performances came in 2006 and 2022, where he clinched the men’s singles gold, confirming his status as the tournament’s top competitor. In addition to singles triumphs, Sharat contributed to India’s medal haul in doubles events, reinforcing his versatility.
