Despite the heavy defeat, Shanto found solace in the performance of his bowlers. Shoriful Islam’s 48‑run knock paired with seven wickets marked the best figures by a visiting bowler against Australia since Curtly Ambrose’s 7/25 in 1993. Shanto highlighted the efforts of Shoriful, Taskeen Ahmed and Hasan Mahmud, commending their ability to extract bounce and swing from a pitch that proved hostile for both sides.
