Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan took to X on July 2 to mark the inauguration of the LA Night Riders Cricket Ground. He described the stadium as a project that started as a vision and has now become a tangible reality for cricket lovers.

“The venue welcomes you all,” Khan wrote. “It is not just for the sport but also for entertainment and families, creating memories that will last forever. Special thanks to Jai Shah for his invaluable support, as well as the ICC and Sanjog Gupta for their backing.”

He added that the ground, with its distinctive purple and gold theme, aims to serve Los Angeles, cricket fans worldwide and the Night Riders community. The inaugural MLC match, featuring the Los Angeles Night Riders against Washington Freedom, underscored the stadium’s readiness to host top‑level cricket.

Khan’s message emphasized that the facility is designed to be a hub for both competition and leisure, aligning with the broader goal of bringing cricket to North America ahead of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
