Shahdol University Hosts Live Interaction with PM Modi on National Sports Day
Pandit Shambhunath Shukla University in Shahdol became the virtual venue for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s live interaction with youth athletes on National Sports Day. The Prime Minister’s address highlighted the importance of sports in shaping disciplined, healthy citizens.
Modi’s remarks underscored that athletes bring fame to their regions and that sports complement academic pursuits. He sent best wishes to all participants and called for a balanced approach to education and physical activity.
Vice‑Chancellor Dr. Ram Shankar, faculty members and a large student audience joined the dialogue. Dr. Shankar pointed out that outdated sayings dismissing sports are misconceptions, noting that children worldwide excel both academically and athletically.
Football coach Lakshmi Sai and player Saniya Kunde voiced their support, stating that such high‑level engagement provides much‑needed encouragement and guidance for emerging talent. The session ended with a unanimous thank‑you to the Prime Minister for his continued advocacy of sports.
