Star Setu Mishra Honored by CM Samrat Chaudhary After Relay Gold

Bihar’s own Setu Mishra received high praise from Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary following the mixed 4x400 m relay triumph at the Asian U‑23 Championships in Ordos. Chaudhary’s X‑post highlighted Mishra’s “unwavering resolve and fearless spirit,” noting that the athlete’s achievement will motivate aspiring sportspeople throughout Bihar and India.

The relay squad – Mishra, Aastik Pradhan, Sandramol Sabu and Shravani Sachin Sangale – secured the top podium spot with a time of 3:18.64, beating China by a tenth of a second. The gold medal complemented other Indian successes on day one, including medals in the men’s 5,000 m and women’s 3,000 m steeplechase.
