Selection Shake‑up: Rohit Yadav Omitted Over Age Discrepancy, New Faces Added

A major selection controversy has hit the India Under‑19 camp after Rohit Yadav was removed from the squad for the Australia series. An audit of his documents revealed serious irregularities in his birth certificate, leading the board to bar him from the one‑day and multi‑day contests.

In his stead, the board has promoted two young prospects: Aryan Savsani, who will feature in the 50‑over side, and Tanmay Baloda, who joins the Test line‑up. Both players are expected to bring fresh energy to the side.

The series schedule comprises three one‑day matches on 18, 21 and 23 September, followed by two four‑day games from 27‑30 September and 5‑8 October. All venues are set in Rajkot, except the second four‑day encounter, which will be played in Ahmedabad.
