Schutt's 150th wicket vs Bangladesh as Australia clinches series

During the opening ODI of a three-match series against Bangladesh, Australian bowler Megan Schutt secured her 150th One-Day International wicket, marking a rare achievement for a fast bowler.

Schutt needed only two scalps to join the elite group. She started the innings by dismissing Fargana Haque on the first ball, and followed with Shormin Sultana in the third over, the wicket that took her tally to 150.

Bangladesh were bowled out for 166 runs in 49.4 overs. Australia chased down 167 runs in 25.4 overs, losing just three wickets. Annabel Sutherland led the bowling attack with four wickets, while Ashleigh Gardner, Tahliya McGrath and Georgia Wareham each contributed one wicket. On the batting side, Phoebe Litchfield powered the chase with a quickfire 77 off 57 balls.

The milestone places Schutt as only the third Australian bowler after Ellyse Perry (166) and Kathryn Fitzpatrick (180) to reach the 150-wicket mark, and she joins a short list of 12 women worldwide who have achieved the feat, with India's Jhulan Goswami leading the chart at 255 wickets.
