At 33, Saransh Jain joins a select group of Indian cricketers who made their Test debut at an advanced age, following Robin Singh who debuted in 1998. Jain’s journey includes a first‑class debut for Madhya Pradesh in 2014, 54 Ranji matches with a batting average of 31.75, 2,223 runs, and 188 wickets. He is also the third player after Murali Vijay and Mohammad Shami to earn a Test cap before receiving an IPL contract.
