Samson’s 82‑Run Blast Highlights India’s Shift to Aggressive Middle Order

After delivering a blistering 82‑run innings off just 41 balls, Sanju Samson highlighted the importance of early momentum for India. His attack, marked by nine fours and four sixes, propelled the side to a total of 249 for five against West Indies. Samson noted that while the T20 format often leaves the final result beyond a single player’s influence, disciplined preparation and a team‑first mentality remain essential. The innings set the stage for a partnership between Shreyas Iyer and Tilak Varma, who combined for quickfire runs, stabilising the middle order after a brief wobble.
