Roxton Chase has been appointed captain of the West Indies test side that will travel to Pakistan for a two‑match series commencing July 25. The squad features a mix of seasoned players and newcomers, most notably left‑arm spinner Joshua Bishop, who has earned his first test cap.

Kirk Mackenzie, the prolific domestic batsman, has been recalled to the test lineup after a five‑year absence, taking the place of John Campbell, who suffered a hamstring strain during the recent one‑day series against New Zealand. Mackenzie boasts a 64.6 batting average in the West Indies Championship, accumulating 323 runs in six innings.

Vice‑captain Jomel Warican, along with a cohort that lifted a 1‑0 series win over Sri Lanka, will maintain continuity within the team. The first test is set for the Brian Lara Cricket Academy (July 25‑29) followed by a second encounter at Queens Park Oval (August 2‑6).
