Pant scored 29 runs in 40 balls in India’s first innings in the Boxing Day Test and shared a crucial 57-run partnership for the fifth wicket with captain Ajinkya Rahane. With this 29 runs, he joined a special club.
Pant has scored 25 or more in the last eight innings in Australia. Pant is the only player to do this amazing. No Indian batsman had done this feat on Australian soil before in Test cricket. Pant has scored 25, 28, 36, 30, 39, 33, 159 * and respectively in the last eight innings in Australia.
