Rinku Singh returns, Samson omitted as India gears up for Harare T20 triad
India’s next assignment involves a three‑match T20 series against Zimbabwe in Harare, and the BCCI has disclosed the traveling squad. Shreyas Iyer will again wear the captain’s armband, and the side has welcomed back all‑rounder Rinku Singh after a brief hiatus. The only notable absentee from the senior ranks is wicket‑keeper‑batsman Sanju Samson.
The squad also features the teenage sensation Vaibhav Sunil, who is poised to become the youngest Indian to play a T20 international at 15 years, 99 days. In his debut outing he contributed 14 runs. Other young talents include Prince Yadav, Yash Thakur, and pace bowler Ashok Sharma, whose IPL 2026 performances caught selectors’ eyes.
Spin depth is provided by Harsh Dubey and Varun Chakravarti, while the catching responsibilities will be shared by Ishan Kishan and Prabhsimran Singh. The series will run on 23, 25 and 26 July at Harare Sports Club.
